Most of the recipes included here will be those that we remember from the Thirties, Forties and Fifties.
Also, most will still be in
use somewhere in the family. The Thirties recipes come from the tenements
in East Boston. Don't expect anything elaborate. The word
at the time was:" what can we make to eat
today that doesn't cost too much but everybody will like .Some recipes are from the North
End...just a tunnel away
